Response to UL Public Notice
UL posted a public notice on October 15th, 2021 that MAXEFF motors manufactured by Adventech bear counterfeit UL certification marks. When Adventech acquired MAXEFF technology we believed that a UL certification was acquired with MAXEFF. Upon discovering the UL certification was not acquired, Adventech quickly worked to resolve the certification issue. To achieve certification as quickly as possible we chose to partner with Intertek, who certified us in accordance with UL standards UL 1004-1:2012and CSA C22.2#100:2014 on September 13th, 2021.

Intertek is a global quality and safety certification organization with 42,000 employees spread across 100 countries. They employee 3,000 auditors who conduct over 90,000 audits per year. Intertek ensures that products bearing their label are fully compliant with applicable standards typically UL for USA and CSA for Canada. For all products bearing the Intertek ETL mark the factory is audited quarterly to ensure compliance.
