The Maxeff motor by Adventech can start and stop without experiencing high amp draw. Our motors operate at optimum performance with or without a soft start unit.

Similar to other electric motors, Adventech’s Maxeff motor features an induction motor circuit. Unlike traditional models, ours have a built-in, all-in-one induction generator circuit. Maxeff’s two-circuit design uses the same magnetic field, rotor, and stator to produce more shaft power than similar induction electric motors.

Understand the difference

Unlike all other induction motors, Maxeff has no reactive components, so it does not pollute the grid. It also requires substantially fewer amps to do the same work. The efficient engineering of our motors will correct your plant power factor.

Adventechʼs Maxeff motors can be used in almost any kind of machine or system, such as:

  • Pump drive machines
  • Large air compressors
  • Conveyor belts
  • Ventilation systems/fans

Since energy production is reverse proportional with the actual motor shaft load, heavier shaft loads allow smaller production, and lighter shaft loads yield bigger production.

The Maxeff induction circuit constantly produces a current that leads the line voltage like an alternative power source. This eliminates virtually all wasted energy of standard induction motors.

Where a standard motor would require a 200 kVA generator to start, a comparable Maxeff will start on a 100 kVA generator.

Each new or remanufactured motor can be built to the customerʼs systemsʼ needs from 30 HP and up.

ADD-ON OPTIONS

SOFT START TECHNOLOGY SAVES ON PEAK POWER

Maxeff motors use electromechanical contactors and a sequence of internal automated connections to power the built-in electrical and mechanical soft start. No external or additional electronic components required.

This allows Maxeffs motor to receive grid power at only a third of its nominal HP, roll automatically to 66%, and then to full HP. This unique feature reduces the inrush current and allows Maxeff motors to ramp up smoothly and progressively. This revolutionary soft start sequence allows Maxeff motors to be started from generators half the size required by standard motors

Soft start also allows you to start, stop, and restart your Maxeff motors as often as needed without overheating or incurring excessive peak demand charges. This option is available on all Maxeff motors. All you have to do is request it, and everything will come in a single enclosure along with your Maxeff motor. You can also use this same unit as your motor starter. No additional components needed.

WATERPROOF DESIGN PROTECTS YOUR INVESTMENT

Our wash-down stainless steel Maxeff motor is totally enclosed, non-ventilated, and waterproof. This low-maintenance motor will not create heat and will work as expected in the worst conditions. It can also handle great overloads up to double the nominal HP on a semi-continuous duty.

MAXEFF TWO-SPEED MOTORS FOR ENERGY SAVINGS

Maxeff two-speed motors come in speed ranges of 3600/1800 rpm, 1800/900 rpm, 1200/600 rpm, and 900/450 rpm.

In applications like condenser fans, a two-speed motor can be easily controlled without VFD or any electronic components. When you don’t need full air movement, you can switch to low speed then back to full speed as your systems require it. This allows for enormous energy savings.

Normally, low-speed motors are not used much because of their poor power factor. Maxeff low-speed designs have the same efficiency and a higher power factor than any market premium efficiency high-speed motor. Use them to reduce your airflow anytime you can, saving energy.

WARRANTY

Each motor is covered by a two-year (24-month) limited warranty, covering all windings, bearings, capacitors, and capacitor enclosures. For more information or questions, contact our team.
